Our Mission
Black Transmen of Ohio seeks to be a leading force in creating systemic change by transforming the lived experiences of Black transgender men and non-binary (AFAB) individuals in Ohio. We aim to do this through increased visibility, community-building, facilitating resource access, and advocacy.

President
Khris Goins (he/him)
Khris is a Help Desk Technician for Speedway Inc. and Founder/President of Black Transmen of Ohio. He has served as an Advisory Board member for Zettabytes.Today. Khris has been recognized by The Columbus Dispatch, TransOhio, Human Rights Campaign, EqualityOhio and others for his impactful work with BTMO. When he is not helping people you can find Khris spending time with his kids at bowling alley or listening to music or a book while playing video games.

Vice President
Choncee Kornegay (he/him)
Choncee is the current Vice President of Black Transmen of Ohio, ensuring the smooth operations of both the board and organization. Volunteers at Kaleidoscope Youth Center, mentoring black transgender youth. In his free time, he enjoys playing football with his son, watching football (GO Ravens!) with his friends, or hanging out at home listening to music or watching Netflix.

Board Treasurer
Eric Coleman (he/him)
Eric is the Grants Management & Accounting Specialist for Kaleidoscope Youth Center, the largest and longest-standing organization in Ohio solely dedicated to serving and supporting LGBTQIA+ youth. He is a founding member and the board treasurer for Black Transmen of Ohio. Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time outside with his dog, and spending time with family and friends.

Board Member
Melachi 'Mel' Carroll (he/him)
Mel serves as the Program Manager for Gender Affirming Care Health Navigation. Where he provides health navigation to Trans and NB Patience and Clients throughout Ohio. He sits as the board community engagement liaison for Black Trans Men of Ohio and is a founding Member of Dayton Black Pride. And recently graduated The Monica Roberts Freedom Black Trans Leadership Cohort, and was a part of the hosting committee of The National Black Trans Advocacy Conference. He enjoys helping others, dancing, and spending time with family.
