DEI Statement

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement
Black Transmen of Ohio is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of our work. As a Black trans-led organization, we intentionally center the voices, leadership, and lived experiences of Black transgender men and transmasculine individuals while working to build inclusive and affirming spaces for all people impacted by racism, transphobia, and systemic inequality.
We believe that equity requires intentional action. Our programs, partnerships, and leadership development efforts prioritize individuals and communities who have historically faced barriers to safety, opportunity, and access to resources. We strive to create environments where all people are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or socioeconomic status.
As an organization rooted in community, we are committed to shared leadership, accountability, and continuous learning. We actively work to remove barriers to participation and ensure that those most impacted by injustice have meaningful opportunities to lead, contribute, and shape the direction of our work.
Through community building, advocacy, and resource connection, Black Transmen of Ohio remains dedicated to creating a future where Black transgender men and transmasculine individuals are visible, supported, and empowered to thrive in every area of life.
